Quick Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken

I did an Instagram live when I made this dinner - and while it came out beautiful and delicious, it wasn't entirely practical for a weeknight meal. I posted it to The Kosher Tomato Facebook Page if you wanted to check it out. It's a wonderful mess of me trying to make dinner, while talking louder than my 5-year-old ( who was also doing her own version of an instagram live) and making sure my 12 month old was entertained. There is some whining, but hey - it was live, and it was real ... continue reading...

Baking

Strawberry-Spinach Whole Grain Pancakes

You know what I decided? I'm going to stop waiting for the perfect recipe, the perfect photo and the perfect time to post a new recipe. Who cares if it's not sophisticated, because this is real life. You know why I decided that? You. Yep! all of you amazing followers who send me direct messages letting me know that you want a recipe, no matter how simple it may be - even if it is semi homemade. I'm a busy mom of two who tries to run the blog along with having a full-time job, and keep the ... continue reading...

Melon, Watercress + Feta Salad

This heavenly salad is a revamp of an oldie but goodie that I posted back in 2011! Watermelon Feta Salad <--whoa, check out the difference in photography! I have learned a lot, and have gotten a whole lot better. There is still so much to learn though, and I am so happy you're here for the ride! Sweet cantaloupe ... continue reading...

Drinks

Fresh Raspberry Lemonade

I like to think of my blog as a digital version of my personal recipe box. Sometimes, like in this case, the recipes may seem overly simple - but that's the beauty of it. I like to keep them on here for future reference, and also for those of you who asked on my instagram stories ;) This is so refreshing and light. It's worth making from scratch. Serve it for brunch, BBQ's, or even just to give your kids freshly squeezed juice! You can always add alcohol for the ... continue reading...

Beef

Braised Brisket with Red Wine + Cranberry Sauce

This is a traditional braise, and finished with a not so traditional finish. The result is a velvety smooth, sweet and sour sauce that pairs so well with the deep flavored brisket. I made this as one option for my Passover seders, (smoked brisket too!) but you can definitely make this anytime you have a hankering for a good piece of meat! I always recommend 2nd  cut of brisket, because it has enough fat to keep it moist with the low and slow cooking. Plus, it tends to be a bit cheaper than ... continue reading...
