I have a thing for pink food, and I don't make enough of it. Truth is, I just love the color pink in general! It's just so inviting, isn't it? I've been meaning to pickle some onions for a while, and I just let it slip me by. Not sure why though, because it literally has 3 ingredients (if you don't count salt) and they are super easy to make! Pickled onions have an amazing bite to them - with a hint of sweetness that works perfectly to cut through fatty meats - think 2nd cut brisket ... continue reading...
Plantain + Chocolate Muffins
What if I told you that you could give your kids two vegetables at once and they wouldnt. even. notice. With these MAGICAL muffins, now you can! It's a twist on my Spinach Zuccini + Banana muffins - which are also great. Plantains are a good source of fiber, are high in antioxidants and has a good source of vitamin B6 - amongst many other ... continue reading...

I call ... continue reading...
Sweet & Sour Chicken
If you love sweet and sour flavors with a little spicy kick in the background - this recipe is for you! The sweet comes from pineapple, caramelized onions, and brown sugar and the sour from a little of the pineapple juice, and apple cider vinegar. The spicy heat comes from sriracha and the way it all comes together is just SO. GOOD. What's funny is that it started out as a sweet and sour fish recipe - but I breaded it with coconut flour, and while the flavor was on point, the texture was ... continue reading...
Brisket Pad Thai
I originally created this recipe for The Nosher of My Jewish Learning and now I am sharing it here for your viewing pleasure! This was one of the most fun recipes to create, mainly because I love any kind of Thai food since it hits all tastes: sweet, sour, salty and spicy (even umami) You can add whatever vegetables you like - but this recipe is wonderful as it is. I do encourage you to add a scrambled egg (I just omitted it for my daughter, who has a mild allergy) It also looks like a ... continue reading...
